Angry Boys

11 Aug

Angry Boys, the uncomfortable comedy created, written and starring the undeniably genius Chris Lilley ended on Tuesday night here in the UK. I am a massive fan of Chris Lilley’s previous work such as Summer Heights High and We Can Be Heroes. His comedy can be at times uncomfortable and he has not been afraid to cross the line in previous works not in Angry Boys. His comedy seems to prove a point about modern culture or society and it’s an interesting view that stirs the pot, generally one that I agree with.

I cannot recommend this show enough and if you haven’t seen any of his other stuff check it out now. If you’re in the UK all the episodes of Angry Boys are still on BBC iPlayer. There are too many one-liners from characters such as S.mouse (black rapper living in LA) and Jen Okazaki (pushy Japanese mother with a skating prodigy for a son) to write down here.

If you’ve already seen it what do you think? I know a lot of people feel differently but I think this is superb! Leave a comment below!
